Ocean Kayak Scrambler?
I am interested in buying a Scrambler, but before I actually buy it I want to know what reviews I can get on it. I like to wadefish and I would also like to fish out of it sometimes too. Thanks for the advice.

I have a Cobra Navigator XF, but I have fished with guys that have Ocean Scrambler XT and they are good kayaks. Bang for the buck is excellent.
The only thing I would not like about them is, you can't put a aerator motor down a rear scupper (there aren't any). The entire rear deck area is not really to my liking, but it works for most people.

I really like mine, though I don't have experience with much else. RBR can attest to it...I can fish and even throw a 7' castnet while standing in mine. Plenty fast enough, I leave everybody I fished with so far with not much effort and I've only been yakking since June. The rear tank well does leave a lot to be desired, but that's about my only gripe. Good resale value, too.

I really like mine, but I do agree with RBR and Lusca about the rear deck area. With a little ingenuity, one can make it work out pretty well. Paddles well and is stable enough for my needs, but I don't throw a castnet while standing out of mine.
Yet.
I agree with 4x4 that it's one of the best values in a yak.

Milk crates do not fit without heavy modification is my only complaint. OK speck/scrambler and the Mainstream Kingfish are two of the biggest "bang for the buck" kayaks out there. There are some great used deals if you look.
Re: Ocean Kayak Scrambler?
it's great for surf too, i mean it's a blast riding waves on,
it's very stable
if your a big person the seat area might be narrow, so check it out before you buy,
it's great for newbies and supper ruff conditions or surf or beyond the breakers, and even rode the san marcos river in it
not to mention they are tuff!!! OK makes a tuff yak

check out this guys who hit the rivers in a speck beyond hardcore fishing

Re: Ocean Kayak Scrambler?
I have the OK Speck and it is a great yak. It is the same as the Scrambler. The only thing I do not like about it is the hull slap from the waves in the front. It is pretty noisy. Other then that it is a great yak, it has not let me down and I love the way that it tracks when I am not paddling. Good luck!

I love mine. I got it off here used, it looked new. It's a very good kayak. But not a dry ride.I would buy it again.
