Sabine 3-26-11
Didnt catch a slot red all day but the flounder sure are on.Never seen them jumping out of the water like they where saturday, what we thought where reds turned out to be flounder. My buddy had a couple nice ones on a stringer that he fed to a angry gator so the 2 in the ice chest where all that made it home.Should be a fun tournament in a couple of weeks since keeping them on a stringer is kinnda out of the question.Guess we need to rig up a live well, just a heads up to not be trolling with slot reds.

I guess the gators in your neck of the woods have figured out kayaks mean food. NOT a good trend!

Re: Sabine 3-26-11
I grew up fishing Sabine and rarely had a problem with them, but that's not to say they aren't a problem. Ran into a few problem goatrs in Hildebrandt bayou, not too damn far from Sabine pass. In a 14' jon boat, those damn things gave us hell one day as we were bass fishing. Ran into a few in my yak at spindletop bayou in Winnie as well that got a little too friendly for comfort. I figured it was WAAAAY to cold for alligators when I went...I was wrong. I hooked one bass and suddenly it got mighty crowded in there. All the crocadillians decided to check out what all the thrashing was about. They are the original pot-lickers lol.
