I own a Ford Explorer suv i've had to diffrent places tell diffrent story my roof rack is factory installed it's small oval shape what kind do i need that will bolt up to what is there i dont want to add any special rails ect just simple glide pads

Just throw it up there upside down and use cam straps to get it good and tight. I have also cut a slit down some pull noodles and wedged those in between the roof and oval rack. Now i just though it on top of the plane old factory rack.

Yakima makes several models of saddles and rack attachments that will fit your factory cross bars. Look for the attachment you think would fit your yak best, then look for the "Aero" designation. For example, a Mako Aero saddle will fit your factory cross bars, but a standard Mako saddle will not.
