I'm hoping

Post by chrismunn »

That the weather does the ol' switch-a-roo like it did last week because it's not looking good right now.

If something changes and the wind ends up not bein as strong as currently projected then I'll probably be making my way out to fish somewhere out around the portA jetties? ( unless someone else puts something together?)

How accurate is swell information 5 days in advance? 4-5' doesn't seem that fun.

5 day marine forecast on the Texas Gulf Coast is always iffy. That said, 4-5' swell is still plenty fishable, and especially if the period is not too short. If the local wind is big enough to break the tops of the swells, it may be a bit unsettling at times on your paddle out and back. If you're going to a platform, just troll and/or tie up to the platform with a long rope on the leeward side.

Its all good.
