Kayak Launch Point Map

Post by Coachsmills »

I have finally completed my Kayak Launch Point Map that I have been working on for sometime now. The map lists places to launch your kayak from Sabine Lake all the way to the Freeport area. There are 130 locations to launch from and I know I don't have them all. If anyone notices a place I missed that you don't mind sharing then send me a message or e-mail with the address or coordinates along with the name of the launch and I will add it. I left a few places off that I know about because I believe they are private launches. All that I have inlcuded are locations to launch from. There are no directions to honey holes or anything like that because half the fun is exploring new waters and finding them yourself. This map will just get you started.

Nice! That saves a lot of time spent in front of the computer. It's funny how your map picks up right where mine left off. Only one we have in common is the launch for Cedar Lakes.

Ha ha, I like to think of it as updating to an electronic wheel. Ray's book will definitely give more information about the areas than I am able to. That book, Google earth, and a Hook N Line Map are great tools for scouting areas before you even get there.
