Making Strides for Corpus: Breast Cancer Awareness

Post by Doc S »

Hi all,

Some of you folks know that my Wife (Sallie) battled breast cancer last year.

She had a slightly abnormal mammogram, which led to other tests and finally to a double mastectomy, reconstruction, Chemotherapy and Radiation Treatment.

It's been a year and we're finally getting back to normal...

She did suffer long term nerve damage from the Chemo and has constant pain in her hands, wrists and lower arms, as well as her legs and feet.

Last year, we asked and many of you contributed to the 5K benefit for the American Cancer Society's "Making Strides" campaign.

Sallie was able to walk about a hundred yards on her own and I pushed her in a wheel chair the rest of the way.

We were joined by lots of family and friends (including our adult children and grand children!)

Here's a picture of us at the event!

Here's the shirt one of our Son's designed for the event.

I'm asking you to once again consider donating to this cause.
It's doesn't have to be a lot of money...
$5.00 definitely helps and would be appreciated...

If you feel that tug, please donate.

Please know that all donations are tax deductible and all your donations go directly to the American Cancer Society.
The shirts and all expenses incurred for us to participate in this event are our own.
