So see, what happened was...... :P

I would think lightening would cut a hole straight through it, not burst into flames. My vote would be gasoline + bic.

Lighting is attracted to metal so it is possible that lighting hit the pump. Still looks kind of fishy to me. :dance:

If anything it hit the roof and traveled down through the pole to the electrical line. Jury is out.

Lightning would arc around the plastic if at all possible, or blast 1 hole through it. Not a very good conductor. Got an old college physics book if you want to borrow it.
