Places near Houston

Headed to Houston with 2 small dogs any places u recommend with cabins or tent areas to spend a few nights?

We have never been that area so relying on your help.

I have seen Martin dies. And Huntsville posted on here any other ones?

Wow...didn't know that , but really only going for a day to festival

Looking for areas to,stop and spend the night arround Houston

Sister lives in tomball/klien area so stayin with her but prior to weekend

Huntsville state park is fairly close to Plantersville. Closer than Houston at any rate, lol.
They have enclosed rooms and are pet friendly. There are a couple of them that are actual cabins with AC/Heat. You will have to check availability.
Lake Somerville is also fairly close, but I don't know much about it, and the parks MAY be closed due to damage from recent floods.
FYI Be prepared to sit in traffic to get to the faire. It's pretty popular.
You are also pretty wise to not stay at the Renfest campground. At least, if you like to sleep......

Had to turn back from rennet due to rains!
Did go to lake Livingston and the state park for a few days ! It was really nice!

Next time we will go to Huntsville
