I have a chance that I'll get off work early today. Got the yak packed for a quick overnighter on the Colorado. Launching at little web and paddling up to hog island. Plan to be back at little web by 13:00. Supposed to be wicked windy the rest of Saturday.
If anyone is able to join, I'd enjoy the company.

Good luck, was thinking about a wintery paddle on Sunday on the Roddy actually. Supposed to be 37˚F on Sunday morning. Brrrrrrr.

So far so good. Getting my first solo trip checked off the list. Getting the chicken livers ready for some whiskered fishies

Trip was a success! Multiple deer crossed the river on the far west side of the island. Tried to get some catfish with no luck. Had a small run with a gar with no luck. The bass did cooperate the next day. Had great luck with the wind as well. On Friday, a general tailwind helped me upriver to the island. Saturday had consistent north wind to push me back to the takeout. Going to have to do this again.
