BTB Sea Rim - Thursday the 27th

Post by Mythman »

Unless the weather changes, a few of us are 85% sure we will be fishing Sea Rim for bull reds and sharks this Thursday.

Will make final decision tomorrow am.

Post up if you want to join.

Mythman, where do you meet and launch from?
I've never been there. Not sure if I'll make it, but may.

Go to Sabine, TX..............take hwy 87 to end of pavement and 50 yds before end of pavement turn left into beach access entrance (two trash bins at turn-in). Take a right down the beach about 1/2 mile to launch area (around 15 mph speed sign).

I'm in (the tandem that joined y'all on two recent Sea Rim adventures)

Mike I'm extremely appreciative for the communication on these trips and your willingness to share the joy of BTB BR fishing with some newbies. I have experienced a lot of types of fishing and fighting a large BR from a Kayak is at the top of the list. The triple hook-up on the first outing will be remembered for a long time!

Let's hope the NE wind forecast holds...

I get mine at Sea Pony in Winnie (or ask someone that is stopping there to pick some up for me).

I have found the first one launching usually catches the most for the day! Get out there early!! LOL
The earliest you'll get out is 0700 after stopping for bait at Ricks' Sea Pony store in Winnie and driving the other 30-45 minutes through Port Arthur and on to Sea Rim.
Rig up some leaders and hooks before you go to be ready for cut offs by sharks! Travel light hang on! Wish i could go but...
