I haven't been down there in a long time. There hasn't been much activity posted on the forums for quite some time. I was wondering if anyone else had heard anything. It looks like the storm really screwed the water up around here.

The main lake has been completely fresh since the end of February, at least, but the lower lake is finally starting to salt up a bit.

Galveston Bay is getting better, but Trinity is still mostly fresh.

Ooh! Just a little sliver of purple left in Trinity.

I put my skiff in at Sabine Pass to test the motor and fish a little. The water at the ramp had about 18 inch visibility. Sort of a sandy green most places and the worst between the jetties. Zero surface activity Monday morning. Plenty of shad and mullet running the little jetty wall, but nothing hitting them.

One flounder at Lighthouse Cove and one little red in a pond down Texas Bayou.

Won't be long before the lake gets a little salty.

I miss fishing Texas Bayou, lots of great memories!

After living in South Louisiana for the past 2 years my wife and I now live in South Alabama. We are about 10-15 from Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, about 45 minuets from Pensacola Florida. The water is absolutely BEAUTIFUL here!!!

Not Texas Point, but I'm going to Texas Bayou this morning with Duby and Cajun Angler. Will post up results when I get back.
