has anyone ever launch at Dick Dowling State Park boat ramp ...kayak or power boat.
if so how is it?

I've never launched there but it is a nice ramp. Looking at the area on Google Earth I can't see where it would get you close to much though.

Thinking about fishing the jetties out of my CC in the morning. Figure DD would have less launch traffic.

Some time back. I found the ramp quite steep.

Yes the ramp is a little steep but nice step up.
Right there at the park yaker could fish the bulk head
for sure.
As for a report nothing, nada, not a damn thing.
I don't know what is wrong this year.
We could see shrimp passing under the boat.

went down to visit sabine today .. havent been fishing there in a while.
the water was great, bait was everywhere, schools of mullets swam unmolested.
end of story.
not a nibble of any kind on top, bottom, suspended.
caught 2 mud minnows, a few mullets and couldnt get a fish to take one.
lost a mullet to a crab .. cut in half
i think i'll go back to freshwater for some cats
