DugasM,

Scottyboy, CajunPhil and I fished TB this morning, beautiful morning
there was a screaming incoming tide when it was suppose to be the bottom of
an out going low tide . Needless to say no fish but great time with good friends.

I’m leaning towards going there instead of Keith’s. Looks like the wind will pick up mid morning tomorrow.

I would go but I'm on days now. Was off and every day the weather was bad. Go back to work and it clears up

That’s usually how it works. Maybe next time. I’m going to keep posting when I go to keep this thread alive.

Texas Bayou didn’t produce for me. Got two bites. Lost a flounder at the boat. Talking to a boater who was using live minnows wasn’t getting anything either. Current was pretty strong at the launch. It was my first time launching there. Those concrete pads aren’t kayak cart friendly. I’ll try and keep posting on this thread. Image

There are a couple of specific spots there that produce on an outgoing or incoming tide. When we have the same day off well have to go fishing and I'll show you. Started my seven off today. I'm planning on going fishing tomorrow either at TB or Anahuac Wildlife refuge.

How/where do you launch at TB to not scratch up you kayak as much? Or bust your butt like I almost did. Lol! I’m working my three days. Off Monday but it’s a no go for fishing. Wife is on call and the kids are out of school.

I have a cart for my outback, so I just roll the front end into the water. I carry a cheap $10 yoga mat in my tank well. When I come back to the ramp I pull in sideways get out and lay the mat onto ramp, then pull the kayak onto the mat.
