The full moon last night didn't seem to hinder the bite this morning. Lots of hungry reds were on the hunt, and I was able to land ten of them before 9:00am. I strung up the first three fish and released the others. Here's a chubby 29" pumpkin that ate the crab fly just ten feet from the kayak, lol. He never got into the backing on the 6wt but sure put a bend in the rod. Oh, and the crab fly is ready to rumble again. It survived eight trips to the landing net and many other strikes that didn't work out.
The pumpkin patch was busy this morning
