Summiting the tallest peak in Texas
Three friends from high school and I camped in Guadalupe Mountains National Park the last weekend in March/1st in April, and climbed Guadalupe Peak, the tallest mountain in Texas, at 8,751 feet. Took us about 3 hours to get up, and about 2 to get back down. Some pics from the summit.

Wow, nicely done. Adding to my bucket list.

Wow! What a view! This reminds me of climbing putman mountain as a kid at my grandparents place out in the hill country. I remember being at the top looking out to the horizon and trying to imagine what it must have looked like in the previous years before major settlements occurred.

I did that hike back in 2012. Nice one. Hard to believe that used to be a reef.
