Btb trip report Saturday June 4

Count me in for the next BTB trip. Need to orient to my new yak & gear this weekend in the bay.

For once, the forecast was pretty much on point.

A decent current provided good fish movement and we caught lots of reds and maybe 5 sharks. No huge sharks either which made us extremely happy!

Only lost one leader and ran out of bait by noon.

How far out do you have to go in Galveston to find the reds and shark? I’ve only gone BTB in Corpus but want to give Galveston a shot since I live in Houston.

Sometimes they are in close sometimes a quarter to half a mile out really depends on where the bait is. High island is usually better that Galveston or surfside ask DandyDon and shoffer about some of the trips we've had
