Corpus Christi Launch Points

Post by Ramsdl52 »

I'm looking on google maps and see there is a road that leads out to Kate's hole on the map. wondering if anyone has actually used this road and what kind of shape its in. link to the spot here. hoping to go this weekend and use this spot with feedback from the community...

If it hasn't rained it's normally ok. It does get rutted up every now and then back there though. It's more of a trail than an actual road.

Probably a no go this weekend due to the rain and the low pressure system. You might ease in there and see how far you can go. You might check out fish pass to the north. You should be able to get in there to launch just have to know your vehicles limits. Stop and check deep holes before you drive through them if you need to. The weather is the wild card.

As others have mentioned it's going to depend on tide levels and recent rain fall. Probably not a good option for this weekend given the rain forecast.

Great place, but the road/trail can be bad. What about Shamrock or behind the Church? Good roads there usually… along with good crowds :D
