Day 12
Day 12
Launched before daylight into perfect conditions light to no wind and stayed that way almost the whole day. Fished some shorelines on the high tide water a bit off color but cleared up mid morning. Had 3 bites caught a trout and a fat red and missed one. I left the shoreline about 8 am when the tide was supposed to start going out and got to a reef where current was evident made a few casts and set the hook into a head shaking frenzy was relieved when the trout came to the yak and I couldn't see the lure, got her in the net and released my best trout of this winter. Caught a few more good trout and went back to the launch happy and tired after a 9 hour grind and the best 2 trout of my vacation. Water was 61 to 64 degrees this cold front coming in this weekend should be good for trout fishing once things settle down

I was waiting for the plus sized trout. I figured if Don wasn’t getting any then there weren’t any.

It's been a tough winter so far. Been windy more often than years past. Hoping to get out more the next month.
Dandy there is plenty out there for you. I haven't kept one yet
