Salt marsh Larvae

Post by dnordin »

We put kayaks in at the TPWD ramp on Christmas Bay today we worked the area to the west which was a little productive last week. Not so much today, but this is not a fishing report but a question about an observation. I spoke to a couple people who had productive days as they said there were balls of "worms" that the reds were munching on. This was to the east of the dock on the north side of the island before Churchill pass. They saved a couple of them and they looked like black mealworms with a red/orange head. Like a tiger moth larvae but darker. Anyone run across this before? They were too small to be used as bait about 1/8" diameter and 1.25" long.
