The skies cleared and my wife said if I hurried I could do a morning trip. Good thing the reds played along and allowed me to be off the water by 930. Lots of reds and drum North of hwy361 area. The drum were picky and I had to get back, but with shrimp and patience they are there… some nice ones too. I have had some awesome topwater reds. Last trip I had one fully breach on a topwater and this one was a rocket too. As you can see he swallowed the whole topwater in one hit, another brief breach! Again, “blind” casting has its perks.

Nice! I thought the water would be way too muddy from all the rain.
And ya keep rubbing that beautiful kayak in my face!

Thanks, I really enjoy her. The water was noticeably off but still clear enough to see bottom and nothing too concerning for lure fishing.

Great stringer and report. I'm trying to convince my wife to go down this weekend.

Awesome report, that new kayak looks a little better with some slime on it. The skitterwalk is a great topwater, i have that same color pattern. I also like the pink with silver sides
