swapping trebles..

Been using trebles on my top and subsurface lures. Not liking getting them out of my net and unhooking a flopping fish. Ive been hooked to a fish a couple times and its not pretty.
Going to swap out #4 trebles with 2/0 inline hooks. Is the hook up rate the same? Is 2/0 going to catch leader? Ive seen the correct way to position the single hooks. Opinions, problems and remedies welcomed

Saltstong has a few great videos on youtube about the swap. So I changed all my topwater hooks one night. Next two times out I had a ton of hits and misses it was so bad I switched back, and started hooking up again. Maybe it was just me but I didn't like em.
But one pro was they are much better if there is a lot of grass floating around. so I keep one in my tackle bag

I have recently been fishing the Rapala® X-Rap® Twitchin' Mullet that have factory installed single hooks. The hook up rate seems fine as compared to treble hooks. The front hook will foul over the nose of the lure at times.

I don’t particularly like the treble hooks most these types of lures come with for the same reasons.

It's easy to do. The middle hook rides point down. The rear hook is point up. Don't smash the barbs even if you are just catching and releasing. Those single hooks don't do the damage like trebles do.

ok, had 4 blow ups on single hooks and nary a caught fish.
Trying single rear treble. Will add front if short strikes continue
