Picked up at Mariner Sails on Saturday and immediately started rigging with Elite 5 HDI & Zooka Tube. Just ordered the RAM mount for the HDI, so the head unit's not mounted yet. Mounted the transducer through the front scupper using Lowrance's scupper mount.

So here's my first kayak. $25 for the yak, $60 for the gps/finder, $25 for battery, $40 for the paddle, $17 for milk crate setup and maybe $25 in misc pieces. Not bad I think for under $200 on the water.

Finally finished rigging out my pescador 12, mostly because I ran out of space! Fish finder, anchor trolley, 25 quart cooler with rod holders, gear tracks, Bluetooth speaker, cat bags for hatches, shallow water anchor and lots of others!

My first rig! Got to paddle around a bit in a small pond yesterday, but I'm hoping to get out this weekend. I made the rod holders on the back, and plan to add more.

2015 Ascend FS12T with Anchor Trolley. Added Scotty mount with tray and rod holder, added handles for easy transporting. Still going to add some rod holders to my crate and a fish finder.

How do you like the Elite 7ti? I want one and the Berly Pro Ducer cover. Did you mount this in the center of the yak?
I have seen videos on youtube that shows when water gets on the screen the unit locks up and you have to reboot. Do you seem to have these problems? I mean this is a piece of equipment to be used in and around water, right?

My "new ride" shown here photo'd while still in the store . . . but I brought her home today: a 2017 Jackson Cuda Lt., a thermo-formed, lightweight kayak, 32" wide, 12' 11" in length, 57 lbs. without its seat.

I had never seen nor have I heard of this color (it isn't shown on Jackson's website), Sage, but I liked it immediately.

I'll use this as a "finesse" kayak: a simple set-up carrying 3 or so rods, a few Plano tackle boxes, a YakAttack Lever Lock anchor trolley operating the position for an Anchor Wizard.

From what I have heard and read, it paddles very well.

It looks awesome! I like the "gloss" look. Great investment. Nowadays kayaks are not losing value too much if you take care of them.
