I've been searching for one of these for a while. I love getting buttermilk pie when I am out at a little country restaurant, and would love to make it myself.

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup chopped pecans
1 unbaked 10 in pie shell
3 Tbls flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter softened
2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
PREPARATION:
Sprinkle pecans in pie shell. Sift flour and salt together, cream butter in mixer bowl, add sugar 1/2 cup at a time beating well after each addition, stir in vanilla, beat in eggs one at a time. Add flour mixture gradually mixing well after each addition.
Add buttermilk mix well. Pour over pecans. Bake 300 degrees for 1 hour. This pie is not as rich as some pecan pies.

Re: Anyone have a good Buttermilk pie recipe?
my mom-in-laws recipe, simple and good
Beat..... 3 whole eggs in a medium bowl
Add...... 1 1/3 cup granulated sugar,
1 Tablespoon flour,
1 teaspoon vanilla extract,
1/2 stick of margarine or unsalted butter (melted),
1/2 cup buttermilk,
Mix everything very well and pour into a unbaked 9" pie shell
Bake at 350' for 35-40 minutes. Top should be lightly browned and domed or puffed up which will go down once its cooled. It will still be jingly like custard or pudding but will solidfy when it cools so let it cool for a good 30 munites before cutting into it
Enjoy.
