4 lb anchor

Post by Davey jones »

I finally got a chance to fish with my new anchor; a 4lb bruce that I got a picture of before the site changed and it worked like a charm for me and my 14ft Aegean kayak. I wraped the anchor twice with 20lb mono to give me a quick release, but it held while I was fishing, just like it was supposed to. Thanks to this board for posting a picture of it so I could make one.

Becareful with too much of a tie down. I had a med tiewrap and pulled a
5/8 cable out of the bottom of a lake.

I use the very small tie wrap and have yet to get it to brake under normal use.

Anchor?

Is the photo of the anchor still on the board? I'd like to see it.

Maybe someone can post it again. I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Hey Doc Jim. If you are using the smaller wire ties, be sure to kind of HELP them break. Take a razor, or one of those da## drills of yours and make a cut into them. This will lessen the breaking strength of them. Of course, you could just use about 5-6 wraps of Floss.

LOL
