Did you lock yourself out of your kayak? Or did you get locked in your kayak? How big is this gigantic, lockable kayak?! Why no photos?

Haven't been in one, but thats the new model that can have peddle or motor I think. What form of locomotion are you using? I've lost a couple gadgets of one sort or another from a trip or two 'though not from turtling. It's never any fun losing or ruining something. Keys and phone gone?? We learn from our mistakes, right? First trip is under your belt, so it's forward from here. Have fun on each trip - great comment you're looking forward to trip #2 . I had nothing to bring home from my most recent trip either...it happens.

dry box is a good idea

I’ve gone from a dry box to a small dry bag. It will sill float and can be tethered into the hull. I just didn’t like the box banging and scraping around on the hull.

Re: Maiden Voyage Complete
I've had those longer than dry boxes, and hang one from the hatch tether on my Kestrel for a dry pouch.
But oddly, don't think I've ever heard a bang from my larger dry boxes in my Tarpon, and that has to be different manners of boat handling. Everything in that lap hatch is on its own biner in the factory hatch tethers, and it all comes out before I wash boats?
