Yup, I'm thinking Lures Tourney is in order. By popular vote   The 23rd is the day to be out fishing.

Same format:
- Longest Stringer of ONE(1) Slot Redfish and ONE(1) Trout AND ONE(1) FLOUNDER
- In the event of a tie pot is split amongst winners
- Entry fee is a new package of saltwater lures, (EX.~ DOA'S, TTF, Bass Assassins, Topwaters)
- Drop entry lure(s) off at Louis' Bait Camp before you fish, I'll be there early and will leave a bowl at Louis' for you to drop them off if you go elsewhere to fish. It's an honor system!
- Fishing time is from 5:30am till 2:00pm 7/23/11, you must be back by 3:00pm
- Have Fun! It's just fishing out of little plastic boats

While there are literally dozens of places with enough room for all of us, off the top of my head, I can't think of any that is better set up for accomodating the needs of food, drink, shade, etc... in one spot.

True enough, it catches the groups that goes to Galveston and I think 99% of the people last time fish there or have fished there. I guess we shall see who else is going to be able to show up.

Well, if nobody else shows up, maybe Backlasher and I will have a shot at the prize, LOL! That's about the only way it would happen, we don't catch a lot of fish. Now I think I know why - poor aim, poor eyesight, poor hearing, poor memory........... but we do have fun trying to catch a fish! We're gonna try to be there.

If everything works out right, I'll be out there...not sure about 0530, since I don't have a light for my yak, but it will probably be between around 7ish. I'm really hoping to make it and look forward to finally meeting a few TKF'ers.

If you want an earlier start let me know I got extra 360 white lights, you can borrow one.

Added inches of 1 of each legal fish, 18" trout, 23" redfish, 16" flounder = 57" total (example)

My wife has to work and can't come on this one, so I will have an extra 360 light also if needed. I will probably be heading out Fri nite after work and hitting the lights before starting the actual fishing in the morning.

I might just take you up on that offer. The G-man custom crate I recently purchased has a place for a light on it, so maybe I can test it out. I'll let you know Friday evening for sure.

Thanks,
Tom

I am planning to be there. I don't have a 360 light and would love to borrow one as well if possible.

Whatever you want, DOA's, topwaters, TTF plastics, saltwater assassins whatever you chose as long as it's new and unopened. Some folks brought stuff I've never seen before last month.

I got two extra 360 lights, I'll just bring them and have them ready.

My friend and I will probably be there. One question, I know it's an honor system, but is is catch & release, or taking measure picture? How does it work

Thanks,
Peter

Honor system on making sure your "entry" is paid (new unopened lure, soft plastics, spoons, etc) fish are measured at the weigh in at Louis's and a running tally of the fish brought is is kept thruout the day for those entered.
