They’re here…the 2011 Fall Kayak Demo Days in Austin, San Marcos and Houston!

We all know the best thing you can do before you buy a kayak is to try it before you buy it…what better way to do this than at a demo day where you’ll experience one of the largest demonstrations of its kind. We’ll have over 75 boats ready for you to try out including models by Hobie, Wilderness, Native Watercraft, Perception, Malibu, Feel Free and many more! We’ll even have Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs) available for demo too.

Plus, don't miss our clinics covering a variety of outdoor related topics including paddle basics, camp cooking, places to paddle, kayak fishing, kayak camping and more! We’ll post the clinic schedule for each location soon.

Oh and many are asking, yes, we’ll have the new Ride 135 available for demo amongst several other new models.

Austin Demo Days:
September 17 & 18 at Hyde Park Quarries: Sat 10am-4pm & Sun 12pm-4pm

San Marcos Days:
September 24 & 25 at Texas Ski Ranch: Sat 10am-4pm & Sun 12pm-4pm

Houston Demo Days:
September 24 & 25 at Independence Park (Missouri City, Texas): Sat 10am-4pm & Sun 12pm-4pm

**THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THE AUSTIN LOCATION**

Due to the drought conditions, the lake in which we would typically conduct our kayak demo days is inaccessible at this time. However, canceling the event is just not our style so we’ve decided to alter the event as an “Off the Water Kayak Demo Day Weekend”. This event will be hosted as scheduled but now at the Austin Canoe and Kayak store parking lot located at 9705 Burnet Rd #102, Austin, Texas 78758. (Click for Map)

We’ll have over 75 boats on display and ACK Staff and Vendors will be on site answering questions, letting you “dry demo” the boats and offering advice on the what best suits your needs. Another advantage will be that unlike our regular on the water demo days you’ll be able to immediately browse our full line of accessories too!

The best part of any kayak demo day are the specials and let it be known than not only will we have them, we’re planning to make the deals even sweeter for you!

Plus, we are still hosting our popular clinics. Whether your interest is kayak fishing, kayak or base camp camping, camp cooking or simply want to know about places to paddle, you won’t want to miss them all!

And finally, we’re going to make the best of this so why not make this a party too? We’ll have BBQ, refreshments, entertainment for kids and the opportunity to win prizes so come on by and bring your family and friends — it’s going to be loads of fun!
