I am heading down to Galveston Island State Park Saturday morning around 8:00am. Another TKFer will be joining me for his first saltwater fishing experience and we both will have wives in attendance fishing and lounging. I have a white F-150 with a TKF sticker on the back window. On the water we will be the group in the Ride 135s. All are welcome.

The fishing was good. Our group did well (reds, trout, croaker, catfish) although I brought up the rear. Dead shrimp was the bait of choice. One of my favorite spots. Make sure you pay the $5 because they check. Better yet, buy the state park pass for a year.
