Shady Grove Campground ok?

Does anyone know if the Shady Grove Campground/Spencer's Canoe's survived the flooding?

What's the building in the first picture? It looks too small to be the main house/shop where they have the canoe stuff, no? Really sad to see those, and tonights weather isnt looking any better Although, it looks to be moving fast so thats some kind of silver lining I guess

That is not Spencer's. They have almost no RV spots and no pads like the pics.

TG is near Pecan Park. Spencer's/Shady Grove is in Martindale on the south side of the river off of FM1979.

We went by Spencers today to check on our friends. We took some pics of the campground and down at Staples too. They had quite a few people doing cleanup and search teams are now working that far down river. The office and shop were all high and dry. The bathhouse had water up to the rafters. Jack said it was about the same as the 98 flood in Martindale even though things were worse upstream in San Marcos.

They have the place about 90 percent ready to go, the bathhouse is clean and the water heater will be on tomorrow. "Xtreamly" tough and resilient folks them Spencers but they were somewhat haggard by this afternoon. The takeout at Staples was pretty piled up but looks like the cabin on stilts stayed dry.

I'm not having a lot of fun checking out what happened, especially in Blanco and Wimberley, but I'm an old coastie and veteran of three major hurricanes, so seeing this kind of **** ... well, it ain't my first rodeo. It's really good to know Spencer's is bouncing back, and hear a river report from a source I can trust over any other.

I'll be up for the TWS, hanging out over at Kingsbury as usual. Be nice to see you fellers again one of these days.
