ARANSAS PASS

Post by CRAWDADDY »

Fished AP last Thursday evening and caught a dozen or so throwbacks, a 15" trout, and this big shouldered girl 27 1/4". A family from Austin was kayaking nearby and took the pics. Real nice that they e-mailed the pics to me later. Left my camera at home, so it was a relief when they told me they had one.

I was standing on a grass flat, but I was casting into a narrow channel or drain that feeds into the main channel (opposite The Crabman). I was using Tsunami Pro lures in the 5" Trout Mauler, Chartreuse. I have done well there before, at the end of the Summer and early Fall. That pic does'nt do the fish justice though, had it tilted back and sagging, but what the hell. It put up a nice fight, really made my day.
