is there a smooth place to launch and fish at HI?

instead of the beach? im not ready to try the beach and big waves yet. is there a place that has calm water and the fishing is very good. i was going to go to kemah this weekend but the fishing i have read has been very good at hi.

also where is this stingray island at HI ? I have read alot of good things about that place too.

That our dream, smooth place with no big waves and very good fishing.

Wait for a cool front and watch the wave heights and surf cams.

If you want smooth, launch on the bay side. (rollover etc). Otherwise, BTB is usually going to be a launch through the surf.

Good luck and go with someone that knows what they are doing!!

If you want to launch on the bay side, rollover or stingarees are good places. Some folks on here might know of more or better places, but these are the only ones im familiar with.

Calling for 1 foot seas tomorrow according to weather underground. I don't take that to heart but it sounds nice.
