Not a yak report I know, but decent day in the cove. Landed 6 with all in the 4-5# range on squid (no bait fish to be found) and 1 big blue that went 11#.

Anyone been to Cali lately? I haven't been out in quite a while and was wondering where they are this time of year. Probably gonna head to the cove today if no other suggestions arise.

Thoughts an prayers for y'all! The Omni at Wurzbach and I-10 would be my choice for the Med Center area. Not sure what prices look like, but as far as comfort goes, it's top notch.

Never been out there but I've wanted to check it out. I've got a Hobie w/ turbo fins and need about 18in of clearance. Think it's too shallow?

Mustang Island SP or Padre Island National Seashore would be my picks. Do your home work before going to PINS though. You can get in a lot of trouble without enough h2o, food, fuel, and a good 4x4 down there.

Shad were plentiful at the yak launch. When I caught those 3, it was because I ran into a school. I was leaving the 181 cove heading back towards the damn. When I got to the corner where the pipes are sticking up out of the water, I ran up on the school pushing bait around. I threw a rattle trap and...

Well I'm still on the water and bored enough to be checking the forum. Caught 3 rat reds all within 20 min. Nothing else since 2pm and I've tried just about everything and everywhere. Nice day though!
