My wife and I probably won't arrive until 11:00 or so. I plan to bring a broccoli cole slaw and some link sausages to throw on a grill. I am open to any other suggestions.

We are bringing a dessert. Not sure which one yet, but I'm sure you won't be dissappointed (I will be because I don't like chocolate, but I am the minority I'm sure).

How far is Medina Lake from Rockport? That's where we'll be on May 1. If it's not too far we might drive up on May 2. What route would we take from Rockport?

Medina Lake is 30 minutes West/Northwest of San Antonio, Texas.

It is a very clear lake and a beatutiful spot.

Probably the fastest is to head to Corpus Christi from Rockport, then up I-37 thru San Antonio then 30 minutes outside San Antonio to Bandera County Park...(Medina Lake)

About a 4 hour trip I believe...

Whoa, 4 hours?!

Well, you guys and gals have a wonderful time. Maybe I'll see some of you in Rockport for the tournament, but I guess I'll take a pass on the picnic.

I know it'll be a great gathering and lots of fun! :D

Got some homemade venison/garlic/spicy sausage to grill, and will bring some roasting ears of corn to throw on the grill, with some squash, bell peppers and zucchini to grill as well.

Man! If I wasn't planning on attending, that post would change my mind. I would come just for the food
