Thanks for report Tguff and safety tip on dehydration .
I have carried mail for USPS for twenty nine years and I usually start off the day with plenty of water to combat dehydration . Thirst is the first sign of dehydration .

Good for you ...me and a buddy caught zero at SLP Flats . we got out late and got the tail end of the bite .Plenty of fish scattering bait but reluctant too hit live shrimp and artificials . None of the other guys catching anything either

Placing Ice cubes in the live bait bucket will the shrimp it's the chlorine in the ice .
Placing your hand in the bucket will also kill them if you don't replace the water .
Limit the amount of shrimp in the bait bucket and cull the dead ones out

If you're coming in from Galveston side I exit right before going across bridge I fish the West Bay side right as it comes into SLP .
